The beginning of the MODERN AGE (1985-Present) of comic books, like the Copper Age, is largely debated by enthusiasts. For the purposes of organization, this site uses the conclusion of the Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars #12 in May, 1985 and the beginning of Crisis on Infinite Earths #1 in May, 1985 as a beginning point.
Most enthusiasts agree that we are still in the Modern Age of comics, although some like to break it into portions including the Modern-Dark Age, the Modern-Modern Age, and the Modern-Postmodern Age, all of which have also been broken down in this site.
