The Supergirl of this series is not the original, but is instead a synthetic being, created in homage to Superman. Her earliest memory is of a red-headed man, looking much like today’s Lex Luthor.

In this series, Supergirl is still discovering her powers, all the while denying that her sweetheart, Lex, is the monster people say he is. In time, however, she will discover that her “darling Lex” has some very dark plans for her.
